GIR and CPR industrial, piston motor type rotators are designed for severe work conditions and under high pressure. The new construction enables the rotator to stop very fast, very precise, without slipping. The oil temperature does not affect operation of a rotator of this type. Rotators have special overflow valves that allow the rotator to slip in emergency cases in situations when shutdown is so abrupt that the inertia can possibly damage the entire machine. GIR and CPR rotators are equipped with safety valves, to ensure drainage, which eliminates increased pressure in the motor frame.

High torque was achieved by increasing the surface of the piston and designing pistons of uncommon form – edgy, which ensures sufficient torsional moment and is equivalent to vane rotators in terms of power. The pistons have been equipped with specially manufactured self-regulating sealing, which has substantially increased the resistance of moving parts against wear.

GIR – built in rotator for different attachments

GIR is a radial type rotator (pistons are located in the form of a star in the mechanism of this rotator). The hydraulic motor of the GIR type rotators produced by Baltrotors is a patented design of the company. GIR type Baltrotors rotators are produced from the high-quality chrome molybdenum steel and cast iron is used for the body frame. All of the materials and spare parts are imported mainly from Europe. Highly resistant conic bearings specially designed for heavy duty operations and high-pressure sealing (350-400 BAR) from the leading European manufacturers are used in rotators. Special rubber sealing is incorporated in the rotator to protect the mechanism from dust and mud. Therefore the rotators are designed for work in dusty, muddy or otherwise aggressive environment. At present a new type of GIR rotator is in the final stages of development, which would be specially designed for work where there is a need to sink the mechanism in water. GIR-type rotators also have safety valves in hydraulic channels that set the grapple in motion. They help avoid the situations where sealing may be damaged as a result of overload of the machine.

CPR – universal rotator that can be mounted directly on to an attachment

CPR is a compact rotator that can be mounted on a surface, with wide range of possible uses. They have axial motor and so-called boxer-type pistons. Such constructive solution enables the rotator to provide higher torque, have smaller dimensions and ensure that the machine is not overloaded as inner pressure is spread out on two lids – both upper and lower, as a result of use of boxer-type pistons. This construction of rotator is created in such a way as to avoid overload of bearings, which often is a problem for rotators manufactured by other producers. The CPR rotators produced by Baltrotors can be safely used under the water. High-quality sealing ensures complete hydroisolation of the device and stops the oil from leaking out in the external environment during the works. CPR rotators are very reliable, precise, durable and long life rotators.

Wide range of uses

GIR and CPR industrial rotators can be used in scrap metal reloading machines, excavator spades, transfer of construction materials and wood, as well as for heavy harvesters. These rotators can also be used for work in dirty and dusty environment, as well as in the water. GIR and CPR rotators are oriented at different loads and designed for machines of different sizes: this is achieved by modifying the products. They can be used both working at the lowest and the maximum working pressure. Baltrotors is ready to promptly design new modifications of rotators to meet the specific requirements of a producer of particular grapple or industrial device. All of these rotators are produced in compliance with the requirements of the EU directives.
